Hypnotherapy is a completely natural state of deep relaxation. You are not ‘asleep’ and you are definitely not going to do anything you do not wish to! Creating this deep relaxation makes it easier to give the suggestions you wish me to impart to the subconscious brain, helping break old thought patterns and behaviours that are hindering you, and swapping them for positive, helpful new ones.
NLP stands for Neuro (brain) Linguistic (language) Programming, an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California, United States, in the 1970s.
NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) are powerful techniques designed to alter and improve thoughts and behaviours, the most famous practitioner being Tony Robbins. NLP helps with negative self belief, anxiety, habit breaking/forming and confidence, amongst other things, and is used by many top business people, athletes and even world leaders. Used in combination with hypnotherapy it can be incredibly powerful.
I have spent over 20 years working with young people and adults in a range of capacities such as Youth Work, mentoring and educational, for various councils and organisations. My focus was always on helping, educating and empowering, whether it was with troubled young adults, community groups or individuals needing guidance and a way to take control of their lives and future.
I then had hypnotherapy to stop smoking and was so impressed that I researched and sought out the best tutor I could find to get professionally trained and accredited myself. I found the renowned Annette Brown, who had herself trained with the likes of people such as Richard Bandler (one of the original co-founders of NLP) and Paul McKenna, this country’s leading hypnotist. Here I gained my accreditation in hypnotherapy and NLP coaching. I am also proud to be an LGBTQ ally, welcoming clients whatever their sexuality, identity or gender. Everyone is assured of respect and understanding in my practice.
